In 1986, the Terrace Hill Endowment for Musical Arts (THEMA)
established the Terrace Hill Piano Competition. The competition is open to Iowa high school students in the junior division (grades 9-11) and senior division (12th grade). This year's competition will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Maytag Auditorium at Iowa PBS, 6450 Corporate Drive, Johnston, IA 50131. The juniors will compete from 9:00-11:30 am, and the seniors will compete from 1:30-5:00 pm. Members of the public are welcome to attend the competition free of charge.
