In addition to serving as the home of Iowa’s governor and first family, Terrace Hill is one of the outstanding house museums in America. Each year brings thousands of visitors from across the nation and around the world.
In 2019, Terrace Hill celebrated 150 years of existence as one of Iowa’s - and America’s - finest treasures. Throughout its long and storied history, Terrace Hill has gone through countless projects to not only restore the property more closely to its original condition, but also to ensure Terrace Hill will stand tall for years to come.
