Terrace Hill was designated a National Historic Landmark on July 31, 2003.

The design of Terrace Hill and the prominence of its first two owners contribute to its designation.

The early dreams of B.F. Allen and the Hubbell family have been realized in this remarkable home and property, loved by those serving in it, and by the many who have undertaken the task to preserve this Iowa treasure.

Whether you’re a guest on a tour or an attendee at an event, we are proud to open the doors of this inspiring residence to Iowans and visitors to our state!
