Tomato season is upon us and what better way to enjoy the bounty and versatility of locally grown ingredients than to partake in the first ever Tomato Dinner at Terrace Hill which will be held on Wednesday, September 6 starting at 5:30 pm.
A Des Moines-area favorite, Chef Tag Grandgeorge started the Tomato Dinners in 2001 as a way of showcasing Iowa’s summertime staple. Tomatoes are incorporated into all courses of the dinner with accompanying wine pairings.
This year’s eight course dinner will include:

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Terrace Hill Partnership, the sole non-profit organization that supports necessary conservation and restoration projects for the Terrace Hill building and grounds.
